Dilution for film: 1 + 4 to 1 + 7
Dilution for paper: 1 + 7 to 1 + 9
Fixing times for films at 20° C (68° F): Rule of thumb: With a dilution of 1 + 4, the fixing time is 2 to 3 minutes, high-speed films are fixed in 4 to 5 minutes. At 1 + 7 medium speed films are fixed in 3 to 4 minutes, high speed films in 5 to 7 minutes.
Fixing time for papers at 20° C (68° F): Rule of thumb: With a dilution of 1 + 7, RC papers are fixed in 1 to 2 minutes, baryta papers for 3 to 5 minutes. With a dilution of 1 + 9, RC papers are fixed in 3 minutes, baryta papers for 7 to 9 minutes.
