SPUR Paper Dur is a paper developer with the highest tray-life for the development of black and white photo papers. SPUR Paper Dur is suitable for the development of variable contrast papers and papers with a fixed gradation. SPUR Paper Dur develops RC and baryta papers optimally.
Depending on task and volume, SPUR Paper Dur can be flexibly adapted by choosing different dilutions. At a dilution of 1 + 4, SPUR Paper Dur lasts in the tray for weeks. The tray-life is also unusually high with the dilutions of 1 + 7 and 1 + 9. Apart from tray-life and processing volume, the development properties are hardly changed if the higher dilutions are used.
SPUR Paper Dur creates a neutral black image tone and is characterized by good gray value differentiation combined with differentiated highlight reproduction. Even at low contrasts, the shadows are reproduced as rich blacks without a tendency to gray.
Developing times for PE-papers at 20° C:
Dilution 1 + 4: 90 seconds
Dilution 1 + 7: 90 – 120 seconds
Dilution 1 + 9: 120 seconds
For baryta papers, the times must be extended by 30 seconds.
