Adox HR-50 135

ADOX HR-50 is based on an emulsion, which is commonly available for technical purposes and features an ultrafine grain and superpanchromatical sensitization.
HR-50 is especially suitable for street and landscape photography. For portrait photography, an equalizing developer like Adox HR-Dev, Adox Atomal 49 or Rollei Supergrain is recommended.

ADOX modifys this film. The sensitivity is raised to ISO 50/18° by using Adox Speed Boost technology. The high contrast of the untreated film is reduced and the film becomes usable for pictorial photography and regular developers.

Speed Boost Technology: Adox pre-exposes (flashes) the film to raise the density in the shadows and to straighten the otherwise strong S-shape of the density graph.

A dedicated Adox HR-50 developer is available as well. This developer is especially recommended for portrait photography.

Adox HR-50 can be used as an infrared film and responds extremely well to any sort of filtration (yellow, orange, red, blue, green).
