Moersch stop bath has a new formula
The above-described SO2 emission is no longer detectable even for sensitive noses.
Almost all of the paper developers contain a high amount of sodium sulfite as oxidation protection. If you want to reduce odor, a water bath can be be used before a regular stop bath. Note, however, that the development process continues strongly slowed down until the pH-value is lowered abruptly in a stop bath.
Moersch Stop Bath does not need this procedure. You can go from developer directly to stop bath.
Dilute to 2%-solution: 1 + 27 (36 ml to 1 liter of water).
A dilution of 1 + 40 is sufficient for the stopping of development.
