Universal developer for all paper emulsions. This developer works fast. The times at a dilution of 1+9 are between 60 and 75 seconds (at 20°C) The dilution of 1+9 is only recommended for RC-papers or users of baryta who are inpatient.
The tone of the image depends on the paper. Cool-tone papers and papers with developing substances included get a neutral to warm tone, with a slightly greenish touch.
Warm-tone papers get a brownish tone if the developing time is under 70 sec. At times over 90 sec, the tone gets greener. A slight selenia toning removes the green and makes the tone cooler. The black becomes deeper.
Because of the high capacity of the developer, the optimal dilution is 1+14. The developing time is usually 2 min. If the dilution is higher, the developing time becomes longer.
The working solution (1+9) can be kept several months in glass bottles filled to the rim.
